New Urban Era announces new dates.

New urban Era (NUE) is a collective of forward thinking artists all with the same passion for original music and arts, bringing together a multifarious feast of urban arts including graffiti, street dance, skate and all forms of dance music culture.

Across 2012 NUE will be hosting a number of events showcasing new talent alongside some more established local talent. This will include a live outdoor event near the castle grounds in the summer.

But Tamworth won’t have to wait that long, as New Urban Era have announced two dates at Tamworth’s newest and most elite bar, Vanity on Bolebridge St in Tamworth.

With its immaculate mix of clean lines and bare brick you could easily be mistaken into thinking you’d just walked into a cool and edgy Hoxton / East London bar.
Boasting the widest range of spirits available in the town, Vanity’s experienced mixologists are on hand to offer you a vast selection of Premium Cocktails and beers.

New Urban Era will be unleashing two of its branded nights over the festive season;

First up on Friday 23rd December NUE presents “@Home”.

A night aimed at marking a return back to roots, as everyone finishes for the Christmas break, @Home will celebrate this occasion with a night of classic house tracks mixed in between the latest in quality house. Who better to host this than none other than Tamworth’s very own Globetrotting DJ Andy Milford.

Andy aka MR M is best known for winning the 2003 Movida Corona world DJ championships in Madrid beating off 1000 other international dj’s. Since then he has DJ’d all over the world at some of the most exclusive parties on the planet at clubs such as Godskitchen, Ministry of Sound and Pacha, regularly djing alongside the likes of James Zabiela, Riva Starr, Roger Sanchez to name a few.
Andy adds “There is no bigger thrill than coming back to DJ in my home town, I am really excited about the possibilities of this exciting new venue for Tamworth”

Joining Andy on the decks will be another quality act Lee Bradley. Lee, after winning Miss Moneypenny’s international talent search in 2003 has become a regular face at many of its club nights.

Thursday 29th December marks the second offering from NUE “The Social” at Vanity during the festive season.

“The Social” has a very casual tagline “a few drinks and some great tunes” Vic Brown of New Urban Era explains “The Social is a friendly feel good night that’s all about catching up with old and new friends. It is not just about bringing an audience together it’s about connecting it via the joy of some of our most familiar local dj’s and the uniqueness of their personal vinyl back catalogue. We’ll be crossing many and any genre including house, disco, funk, hip hop, techno, and break-beat, with one rule! It’s got to feel good!”
